Target Audience
The 2024 Fall Symposium is designed to meet the educational needs of board-certified dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons, and allied health professionals involved in the care of patients with cutaneious diseases or those who require other cosmetic and surgical dermatology treatments. Most participants practice primarily in the state of California.

Program Overview
This year has showcased both the challenges and resilience of healthcare practitioners around the world. In California, medical practitioners are faced with novel infections and increased patient loads while managing their existing patients’ health and well-being. The dermatology community is now charged with navigating this new environment, and its impact on patients and practices, while continuing to stay up-to-date on advances in dermatologic treatments and procedures. Their need for distilled and effective continuing education is more pronounced than ever.

During this time of evolution in both the delivery of medical services and health education, the California Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery (CalDerm) continues to provide valuable multi-faceted continuing education for the dermatology field. CalDerm has developed the 2024 Fall Symposium to offer general lecture presentations for all dermatology practitioners, as well as sessions devoted specifically to residents, young physicians entering the field, and veteran clinicians preparing for maintenance-of-certification exams. CalDerm programs are the premier continuing medical education opportunity for board-certified dermatologists and dermatology residents in California.

Educational Objectives
To address the broad educational needs of clinicians in key areas of dermatology, CalDerm and its expert faculty have developed the agenda for the 2024 Fall Symposium to address specific practice gaps. The conference learning objectives will address the following areas: general dermatology, pediatric/special populations dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
•    The objectives will be made available in late summer 2024.

Faculty
•    The speakers will be made available in late summer 2024.
