MissionTo support California dermatologists by addressing issues related to coding, reimbursement, and the business of dermatologic practice. The Practice Management Committee is committed to helping California dermatologists navigate the complexities of practice management, from coding and reimbursement to the operational challenges of running a successful dermatology practice. We ensure our members are well-equipped to manage their practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on high-quality patient care. COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONThe Practice Management Committee represents CalDerm in payer-related matters, including serving as the California liaison between CalDerm members and our Medicare Administrative Contractor. This committee provides input on coding and reimbursement issues, working to review and guide relevant coverage policies. We focus on informing our membership about these policies and serve as an intermediary between Medical Directors and our members on coding, coverage, and reimbursement issues. By staying actively involved in policy discussions, we ensure that dermatologists have the tools and information they need to address practice management challenges effectively. |
